Sound

Now that I have finished my internet video advert, it was time to move on to the next task and that is to create a suitable sound to go with my video. This was a very difficult decision based on the fact my knowledge is not strong regarding sound/music making.

However I have some experience with Fruity Loops 9 and so I decided to go ahead and use this programme to create my music for the advert.

What I am advertising is Islamic clothing which has some Arabian history to it and so I decided to make an Arabian beat that way it will suit my theme and video. However as stating above my knowledge in this matter is not strong and so I went ahead and used a slow piano roll that is already made on fruity loops 9.

This beat suited my advert and was very simple and calm it fits the theme of my advert and so I decided to go ahead and use this music beat.

Because my video was pretty much self explanatory I didn’t see the need to talk on my video so I just kept it as music all the way through it felt more appropriate.

I believe the sound on my music gives my users a chance to understand my advert and concentrate on it rather than be distracted by the music if it was for example techno or too fast or too loud. 

Video

Now that I am done with creating the poster I will now move on to the next step and that is creating my video.

For my video I wanted to see examples of how I can advertise my company video and what types of video advert I want to create. Earlier in this assignment I researched on different ways to advertise my video through and I came to the decision to create a advert for the internet such as YouTube etc…

The reason why I chose this type of advertisement is because I believe the internet is now being accessed by many there is no limitation to what you can access if I was to choose a TV a advert or a shopping promotional advert it would be limited to who can access or see my advert and so I decided to go ahead and chose an advertisement that has no set target audience.

To create my video I used Adobe After effect CS4 and Cyberlink power director 10. When creating my video I wanted to make sure that my text and video footages stand out I also wanted to make sure that when things appear they appear smoothly so I used techniques such as glow and smooth fade in and out using effects from Adobe After Effect CS4.

Poster

Now that I am completed with the research I have decided to go ahead and create my poster using Adobe Photoshop CS4.

Before I started creating anything I wanted to see examples of Islamic clothing posters etc…However I have not seen any posters regarding Hijab shops etc… I just saw simple girls wearing Hijab no shop name or logo etc… This made things more difficult for me because I wanted to know what competition I am facing.

Because I was not able to see any posters for Islamic clothing I decided to see how can I perfect the poster what would make it eye catching and so I decided to go ahead and search the net one more time and here I came up with beautiful girls wearing Hijab, here are some examples.

The second one caught my eye the most and so I decided to capture the photos for the poster outside.

After I finalized my decision I went ahead and created my poster. At first creating my poster was difficult because when taking feedback from others some liked the poster when it was simple others said add colours and more information.

However when I conducted the research on fashion adverts I realised that they only used models and the logo and sometimes they would use a slogan to go with it such as this poster here:

So I decided to go with a simple design a logo and a slogan to give a more clear explanation of what my poster is about and here is what I came up with:

Video advert Research

For my video advert I wanted to create an advert for the internet where my advert can be advertised through YouTube etc…

Poster Research

Now that I have finished creating a Logo for HanzHijabz Company I wanted to move on and start creating a poster for my company.

I conducted a research on different ways posters are advertised and how the location may affect the advertisement a great deal; in that case I needed to be clear on how and where I will advertise my poster.

There are different types of advertisement for posters such as

1. Busses
2. Trains
3. Train platforms
4. Bus stop stand
5. Billboards
6. Interactive posters

 I conducted this research is I wanted to see where would most posters that advertise fashion would be located. After conducting this research I came to realise that most posters that advertise fashion would be in locations that would attract the right targeted audience for example fashion adverts would be located in shopping malls.

However another unique way which I found could be a more eye catching advertisement is when conducting the my research on many occasions I spotted fashion adverts placed on bus stops, and so I have decided to place my advert on a busy bus stop. The reason why I chose this type of advertisement is because I realised it will allow my company to be noticed by many users with no specific targeted audience. 

Logo

My first task was to create a logo. For this task I decided to use Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Adobe illustrator CS4 to achieve a high quality logo.

Before I went ahead and created my logo I decided to conduct some research on how to make a suitable logo for my target audience I looked at existing companies who sell Islamic clothing for women etc… Such as

After conducting a research on this website, the website that caught my attention most was the second website which was Hijab store online. The part of the website that attracted me most was the floral part of the website and so I have decided from this research to create a logo that has a floral design to it. This is what I came up with.

Introduction

In this course work, I have been asked to create and promote a product whether it’s a product I created or advertise for other companies. I have decided to go ahead and create a product that I own.

At first I wanted to raise awareness on what is going on with the Syrian revolution however I realised it will be very difficult for me to capture certain footages of what is really happening in Syria without having to break the copy right law.

For that matter I decided to go ahead and create a product of my own and that is when I created HanzHijabz.  HanzHijabz promote Islamic clothing such as Headscarf’s for Muslim girl’s dresses, head scarf accessorizes etc…

I came up with variety of ideas however I found it difficult to find a girl who was willing to model for that matter I had to use myself as the model and ask someone else for assistance.  Here is a list of to do tasks:
